Poker Star Wins $10 Million, Is Promptly Beaten Up

Sam Trickett, “the Most successful tournament player in GB and Ireland’s history,” per his Twitter bio, was walking on air after winning $10 million at a World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. After celebrating at a club and leaving with a girl (presumably his girlfriend), the two of them got beaten up by six men. It wasn’t pretty, and “Tricky” took to Twitter to vent, as our friends at With Leather kindly let us know.

Pretty sick. I’m sure the $10 million in his pocket will ease the pain, but this was still pathetic. And people say poker players aren’t tough…
