Darren Sproles Can Give You a Monday Night Boost
As will be the norm going forward, Mondays will look at the one game with the assumption that you can still make a few changes to your lineup.
Let’s deal ‘em up!
Dolphins at Saints
At quarterback, unless you waited and saved money for Drew Brees, there isn’t any other play here. Ryan Tannehill has done well, but there were many better options this week around the same price. And, I don’t need to tell you that even at $9,700, if you have the cash, Brees is always a great play. Of all running backs, I’d be most comfortable with Darren Sproles. The Dolphins continue to share the work between Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas (don’t ask why), which limits the upside. Sproles is only $600 more than Miller, and as this is PPR scoring, Sproles is always a great bet and should be the highest-scoring RB tonight.
Marques Colston and Mike Wallace are the obvious names at wide receiver, but if I am using one tonight and going for the upside-good-cost option, it’s neither of them. I’m taking Brian Hartline. He’s the Dolphins most-targeted receiver, averages 18.9 PPG compared to Wallace’s 12.1 and costs $5,400. Lastly, if you saved your tight end position for tonight as well, there is only two ways you can go, and it depends on what you have on hand cash wise and/or if you want to use Brees. If you have the money, no question you go with Jimmy Graham. However, if given the choice between Graham and Tannehill or Brees and Charles Clay, I’m taking the Clay side. It’s not that Graham can’t out-perform Clay… by a large margin. I simply trust Clay more than I do Tannehill to make up the difference. Brees will outplay Tannehill by a good margin, but I believe Clay can be solid enough to make it worth your while at $4,300.
