This Week’s Values Start in Dallas
No baseball (sadness) so the new format going forward will consist of good targets at the QB/RB position Tuesdays, WR/TE Wednesdays and then your Thursday night preview and weekend lineup plans. So…
Let’s deal ‘em up!
Yes, you can win without Peyton Manning. Truthfully, at $11,000 (DraftKings), I find it hard to win with Manning unless you hit pay dirt on 2-3 bargain players. There is one particular QB I’m targeting, as I think he’s in for a big one! Mr. Michael Vick. The Eagles face the Giants, and have you seen the Giants defense? No, seriously, has anyone? Vick is $8,200, and even with his passing struggles, he is still averaging 24.2 PPG due to his rushing. The one other name that intrigues is Sam Bradford at $6,800. Bradford started hot, and to be fair, last week was against the 49ers. He now faces the Jaguars at home… the Jaguars! I much prefer Vick, but Bradford is your low-price/potential-reward play.
How DeMarco Murray is still $6,300 is a mystery. Murray is fifth in PPG at 19.8, and the Cowboys have the Broncos coming into town. No, I certainly don’t think they will win, but the Broncos run their offense so quickly that the Cowboys will have plenty of opportunity themselves. And even if they get down by a bit, Murray is a great weapon in the passing game too, which only cements his value. Speaking of value, Danny Woodhead looks to have a bargain price again this week. Remember, this is PPR scoring, which is why Woodhead is averaging 14.6 PPG – ahead of Frank Gore, Knowshon Moreno, Gio Bernard, etc. The Chargers head to Oakland, and the Raiders defense is far from a worry… more so a matchup teams hope to see. I would give 2/1 odds that Woodhead might end up in a lineup or two for me. The last RB with a great value price is DeAngelo Williams. DWill is averaging 12.1 PPG, which isn’t amazing, but we’re still talking about a team’s lead running back with little competition for carries, and he costs just $4,300. Yes, that’s it! I might have a short update on RBs come Friday because I’m not sure how any of these three don’t end up in my lineup.
