Dan Patrick Has An Interesting Theory On Bill Simmons, Talks Suspensions At ESPN With Rich Eisen
Attention. Simmons asked for the suspension, got the suspension, it's been the biggest story in the sports world for two days and viola, Billy boy is back in the limelight with the NBA regular season right around the corner. Dan Patrick thinks it's not that farfetched an idea to assume that the Grantland founder's three-week punishment was some sort of stunt. We agree -- no one knows if it's a paid or unpaid suspension and it's not like Bill will be missing out on all that important on-air work he does in late September. A suspension means almost nothing to that guy right now.
The former 18-year ESPN employee went on to explain what it means to be suspended by the mothership, eventually having fellow former ESPN colleague Rich Eisen on to complain about their old job. It was amazing.
