Erin Andrews waited three years to see the United States criminal justice system punish the man who filmed her undressing through the peephole of her Nashville hotel room in 2008. This week, she's getting the chance to sue disgraced insurance executive Michael Barrett and the Vanderbilt Marriott for $75 million.
The video -- which can never be completely removed from the internet -- has reportedly been viewed over 16 million times.
Andrews gave a tearful testimony on Monday, lamenting the pain and humiliation she felt after discovering Barrett's footage was made public.
"This is me naked. Nobody knew that it was a stalker. Nobody knew that the Marriott had put him next to me," she told the court.
"It was being said that I did this for a publicity stunt. All we kept thinking as a family 'This is me. Who did this to me and who let this happen?'"
