ESPN Names LeBron James The Third-Best NBA Player Ever; Twitter Explodes
ESPN has been counting down their #NBARank list of the 100 best basketball players all-time, and now that they're reaching the top of the list, the haters are coming out to complain. As always, LeBron is proving divisive -- the Worldwide Leader picked him as third best:

He beat out fellow active young legends like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry by a mile. He's ranked above Shaq (#9), Duncan (#8), Bird (#6) and Magic (#4). Kobe didn't even make the top-10 -- though you might have a hard time ranking him over anyone except for maybe The Dream at #10 -- at 12th best.
Not surprisingly, some people are pissed:

@ESPNNBA y'all list is ass

#NBArank whoever made this list is an idiot. ESPN should be embarrassed. Lebron will be top 3 one day, but as for right now. Not a chance.

Lol ESPN your all time rank is a joke. Lebron is the 3rd best player of all time over Magic? Over Kobe? Over Larry? Over Duncan?

You'll notice most of these people are relative nobodies who appear to have nothing better to do than bitch about ESPN's arbitrary rankings. You may wonder what these people are doing on the Internet at this hour with enough time to whine about such a thing. This is ESPN's target demo now, folks.
Is LeBron the third-best player of all-time, behind likely Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? Maybe. Is it pointless to rank guys who are still playing alongside dudes who played in the '70s? Probably. Was any ordering of this list going to make people on the internet insane, because people on the internet love being insane? Definitely.
Bold choice, ESPN. Just prepare for the backlash.
