According To Keith Olbermann, That Stuff About Him In The New ESPN Book Is “Pretty Much True”
After this morning's release of an excerpt from Those Guys Have All the Fun, the upcoming ESPN tell-all that is expected to ruffle a few feathers in Bristol, it would be fair to say that an angry rebuttal from Keith Olbermann wasn't totally out of the question.
In the excerpt, which focuses on Olbermann's rise and fall at ESPN and will appear in this month's GQ, he's painted as an extremely intelligent, highly talented jerk. Olbermann simultaneously wows his co-workers with his work on camera while also driving them crazy with his off-camera demeanor (sample quote: "We felt not so much relief when Keith left as unrestrained fucking joy").
Uh-oh. That's grounds for a crazy Twitter outburst, right?
Wrong. Olbermann was surprisingly calm about the whole thing, and although he disputed a few of the (minor) details found in the excerpt, ultimately, it sounds like he found it to be fairly accurate.
As always, the key to a mercurial political commentator's heart is to depict him with younger-looking hair.
