So Triumph The Insult Comic Dog Pretty Much Broke The Melania Trump Plagiarism Story

The top trending items on Twitter right now are #MelaniaSpeeches and #MelaniaTrump, because there is a God in heaven and He wants to make sure that we are entertained during the Republican Convention. And because God is in his realm He also made sure that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog was there to document the entire thing.
As you know, Donald Trump's wife Melania gave her highly-anticipated convention speech last night, and it was enthusiastically received by the convention crowd -- just as it was in 2008 when Michelle Obama gave the same speech. Yep, much of Melania's speech was plagiarized from the current first lady apparently, a fact I first learned from Triumph.
Triumph is voiced and operated by comedian Robert Smigel, who stuck around Quicken Loans Arena last night when most others had gone home, and thus was in the middle of the action when the Melania story broke. He proceeded to photobomb both CNN and MSNBC when they gave their floor reports.
Social media is having a great time with the Melania Trump story today, but remember -- when the story first broke and you were fast asleep in your bed, Triumph was there, doing real journalism, photobombing live news reports with a sign that read "Melania Stole My Jokes".
