Stephen Curry Is Stephen Colbert’s First Official Sports Guest — Battles Host In Laundry Shootout
It took Stephen Colbert until the beginning of his third week to actually have a sports personality sit down at the desk on his show -- previous guests such as Bill Cowher and Novak Djokovic were just cameos. (Last week Djokovic fired tennis balls at Colbert as the host protected himself with a Captain America shield).
And so it was Stephen Curry who became the answer to that trivia question, first official sports guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. First we learned that Curry pays his mom $100 for every turnover above two in every regular season game he plays -- "I average 3.1 turnovers per game, so that's a lot of money, sir." (See second video below).
Then Colbert, miffed that Curry is the first "Stephen" listed on Google Search and not him, challenged the Warriors' guard to a shootout -- depositing laundry into a hamper.
Now see the glory as Curry talks about NBA 2K16, which comes out next week. Colbert: "Did you just say that you always play with yourself?"
