The British PM May Have Stuck His Dick In A Dead Pig’s Mouth, And The Story Is Taking Over The World
Our controversies on this side of the Atlantic are so childish. Deflategate? Pfffftt. Forget pigskin, over in England, they use real pigs.
In a just-published biography of British Prime Minister David Cameron, it is claimed that he once put his dick in the mouth of a dead pig as part of a college initiation. Downing Street is silent on the subject so far and the BBC is refusing to cover the story, but it's all that anyone is talking about over there. In Britain the story even trounced the Emmys in trending popularity, which is a mean feat.
What you need to know about #PigGate, and then we'll get you back to your regular sports coverage:
* The book, Call Me Dave: The Unauthorised Biography, is co-written by Lord Ashcroft, the former deputy chairman of the Conservative Party, and Isabel Oakeshott, the former Sunday Times political editor. In it, they write that Cameron was a member of "a debauched group" called the Piers Gaveston Society, as well as the infamous Bullingdon Club, during his time at Oxford University. The pig molesting, says the book, was part of an initiation ceremony. Another thing that the Bullingdon group did as an initiation, he writes in the book, was to "burn a 5-pound note in front of a homeless person," which is actually a lot worse.
* Excerpt from the book, via the Daily Mail:
A distinguished Oxford contemporary claims Cameron once took part in an outrageous initiation ceremony at a Piers Gaveston event, involving a dead pig. His extraordinary suggestion is that the future PM inserted a private part of his anatomy into the animal’s mouth.
The source — himself an MP — first made the allegation out of the blue at a business dinner in June 2014. Lowering his voice, he claimed to have seen photographic evidence of this disgusting ritual.
* The book claims that there is a photo indeed exists. "The pig’s head, he claimed, had been resting on the lap of a Piers Gaveston society member while Cameron performed the act."
* The book also said that Cameron smoked pot.
