In the most diplomatic way of speaking, R. Kelly has had an interesting career. Multiple platinum albums, countless years selling out venues on tour, five iconic R&B ballads and several more infamous tracks that made him seem like a complete psycho, capped off by a bizarre sextape and ensuing criminal investigation into an alleged statutory rape. It's been a weird run, for sure, but he's still out there making music and doing interviews to promote it.
Huffington Post Live's Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani sat down the with 48-year-old singer/songwriter to discuss his latest album, "The Buffet," and ended up getting into a full-on argument after Kelly took issue with her line of questioning, which circled back to his 2003 acquittal.
“I did not come here to get interrogated," he said. "I didn’t come here for a deposition. This sounds sort of like a deposition. This is not about R. Kelly, this is not about music, this is not about someone who works hard on his music who has an album out. This is about trying to interrogate me and this is about disrespect.”
Things get nuts around the 10-minute mark.
