Here’s Bill Cosby’s Walk Into Court Set To Theme Of ‘The Cosby Show’
Here's to a new year in which we see Bill Cosby being trundled into court at least once every two weeks -- God knows we certainly have enough potential alleged victims. But none of those appearances will be as amusing as this one below, I'd wager. Oh, it's a serious matter, alright. But somehow Cosby's first court date on felony indecent assault charges, set to the theme of The Cosby Show, puts it all in perspective.
This opening, with the bippity-boo-bop rhythm and awkward improv dancing was embarrassing and awful when the show originally aired, and is no less so now that we add old Cosby to it. His doddering old man routine here, by the way, is beyond pathetic. Notice the stumble ... it's like that Seinfeld episode when Uncle Leo is caught shoplifting, and uses the defense that he's "an old man", and was just "confused".
More criminal charges soon to come, we hope. "Swarm! Swarm!"
Cosby was arraigned, freed on $1 million bail and asked to surrender his passport. He's pleading not guilty.
