Josh Kelley Opening Up A Champagne Bottle… With A Chip Shot
With the U.S. Open starting on Thursday, it is a big week for some of the best golfers in the world. Some might say that the start of the U.S open is a cause for celebration. This includes golfers you haven't heard of, like Josh Kelley.
Kelley is known for his impossible golf trick shots, and his latest one is impressive. Through the use of his pitching wedge, he was able to chip a golf ball to uncork a fresh bottle of champagne. Now we're pretty sure that the cork was loosened before hand, but the accuracy is still remarkable.
His smooth stroke knocked the cork clean off and then he celebrated right with a sip of some fine champagne. (It definitely has to be fine champagne right? Like there's no way he's drinking some shitty Andre' after that shot. It has to be the high quality stuff.) At this point it seems fair to say that he currently has a better chip shot than Tiger. Forget Butch Harmon, maybe Tiger should hire Kelley.
Also, let's not forget to give props to the female in the video. To have the faith in Kelley to know that he won't knock her out with a golf ball to the back of her head, takes guts.
While it's true we'll never know how many takes it took for him to actually complete the trick shot, does it really matter? The only negative we can actually find from the video is the use of Flo Rida's "Welcome To My House". We get it. It was the WrestleMania theme song. But that was two months ago. Can we get something more up to date like Timberlake's surefire song of the summer, "Can't Stop The Feeling?"
