Hey 90’s Kids (And Their Parents)…The ‘Fuller House’ Trailer Is Here
FULL HOUSE, GUYS.
Let me first say that if you are even considering commenting anything negative about Full House on this article or the related tweets and Facebook posts about this article then you can take a long walk off a short pier. This is epic, and no one has time for your hipster nonsense. Stay off of Netflix if that's how you feel but you're not about to rain on this here parade.
Okay, now that that's out of the way...
Here's the clip of Stephanie (Jodi Sweetin), Kimmy (Andrea Barber) and DJ (Candace Cameron) in an interview with Ellen Degeneres during which they debut the Fuller House trailer. If you want to skip to the trailer part, it's right about 2:30 in the video.
Ahhhh yes, it's everything I ever wanted in a Full House reunion.
Corny jokes: check. Cliche family drama: check. Gratuitous tearjerking: check.
For any kid who grew up or came of age in the 90's, Full House was a staple. It was on TV all of the time. It was a show that we could appreciate before we were mature enough to watch Friends, and it featured probably the best child television character of all-time; Michelle Tanner. Say what you will about the Olsen twins, but they were legitimately acting at the age of 12 months. Reciting lines and being funny and everything. Go back and watch a couple of episodes when Michelle was about two or three years old and tell me there's another kid actor you've seen do a better job since.
You can't. She was hilarious.
Now that I think about it, it's probably best that Mary-Kate and Ashley have decided to opt out of Fuller House, purely because they could never live up to their younger selves at this point.
Also if you didn't already, I recommend you go back and watch the entire Ellen clip because it really is everything you'd want it to be. All of the women are still besties and it just makes the little 90's kid in me feel super giddy. Plus, Andrea Barber informs us that John Stamos desperately wants a Bitmoji (or a cartoon, as he calls it) because he is the only one in their Full House group chat that doesn't have one. Like, come on. He's Uncle Jesse. If he just walked down the street and asked anyone, anywhere at anytime to help him figure out how to make a Bitmoji, they'd be more than happy to oblige.
So since apparently no one has done it yet, and in the spirit of celebrating this return to my childhood, I took it upon myself to make one for him. So in case anyone from the cast of Full House is reading this, I created a John Stamos Bitmoji and I must say, it's a pretty damn handsome cartoon.
I also discovered that this Bitmoji also works for David Duchovny...
Either way, it's close enough.
