Huge Respect For This Tiny Wrestler’s Strategy When Faced With Girl Opponent
Little Isaiah Lineberry, 4, is actually a pretty good wrestler -- his dad wrestled in high school, and his stepfather is on the Ohio State University wrestling staff. But when faced with a 5-year-old girl opponent during a Tiny Tots tournament this past December, his strategy switched from winning to avoiding cooties.
The crowd burst out laughing when, after shaking hands, Isaiah took off running, with the girl in hot pursuit.
Call it the Floyd Mayweather approach, I guess.
"I asked him afterwards, 'So why did you run?'" Isaiah’s mother, Alexis Salyers, told ABC News. "And he said, 'I don’t know, Mommy, but it was silly.'"
"He knows what to do," Salyers said about her son. "He just let loose and the entire crowd started busting out laughing."
The girl eventually caught him and pinned him. As they do.
