Jeopardy Laura Has Been Defeated, Leaving A Scarred And Bitter Nation In Her Wake
We've been through many trials and travails in this great nation, but I can think of no greater tragedy than a Thanksgiving spent with Laura Ashby as reigning Jeopardy champion.
If you're not a regular viewer, Jeopardy Laura has become social media's greatest anti-hero in only two days' time, due to an annoying voice inflection in which she drags out the final syllable of every sentence. Not unlike those Japanese cartoons that cause some people to go into convulsions, Laura was particularly deadly when pronouncing the word "hundraaaaaaaad," which she did multiple times per show.
Some say that this was a fake affectation created by Laura only to get buzz. But fake or real, it was to the point that viewers were planning to boycott the show until she was gone. And I use the past tense above because today, JEOPARDY LAURA HAS BEEN DEFEATED.
And now a dazed and hearing impaired nation attempts to pick up the pieces.
