Canadian Man Breaks Beer Mile World Record, Does Not Puke
Ontario-native Lewis Kent did his country proud over the weekend, securing Canada's place as "The Greatest Beer Drinking Nation On Earth" by completing a world-record beer mile just days after an Australian broke the previous record (which had been held by an American). Kent's 4:55.78 was a full second better than the Aussie's time, though a second short of the unofficial record holder James Hansen's 4:54.3.
Those are incredibly short amounts of time to run four laps around a track, but even shorter in terms of the amount of time it should take you to consume four beers. Doing both at the same time without vomiting is something all Canadians can be proud of today. Well done, guys.
