NY Post Fantasy Writer Proposing To Girlfriend On Live TV Will Make You Feel All The Feelings
Best trade moment on Fantasy sports TV this week? That would have to be when New York Post Fantasy sports analyst Jarad Wilk traded single status for married bliss. Wilk, in studio for The RotoExperts in the Morning Show on FNTSY Sports Network this morning, proposed to his girlfriend, Lisa Weiner, live on the air.
Wilks was talking with hosts Scott Engel and Gregg Sussman, who were both in on the plan and carried out their parts expertly. After some banter about the New York Mets and the frenzied life of a Fantasy scribe, suddenly the question was popped, and when Weiner immediately said yes, so was the champagne.
Then Engel and Sussman noted that it was the first marriage proposal in FNTSY Sports Network history. After exhaustive research involving taking their word for it, we can confirm that.
“I honestly just never wanted to do a cookie-cutter proposal," Wilk said. "I didn’t want to recreate our first date, create a scavenger hunt taking her to places that are special to us, or put rose petals on the floor of our apartment.”
Fun fact: Weiner formerly worked on The Late Show With David Letterman, and the original plan was to ask Letterman if the proposal could be done there. But when Letterman went off the air, Wilk thought of an alternate plan.
So, mazel tov, and may all of your to draft picks be No. 1 overall.
