Professional Extreme Athlete Dies While Filming Video Game Promo

Matilda Rapaport made a living doing insane shit in the real world while the rest of us sat at home, attempting the same daring feats from the comfort of our [insert piece of furniture your sit on to play Xbox]. Her most recent gig involved skiing around a remote section of the Andés with a GoPro rigged to her back on behalf of Red Bull (the preferred sponsor of extreme athletes everywhere) and UbiSoft's "Steep," a mind-blowing open-world extreme sports video game that releases in December. During the shoot, a massive storm rolled in, causing an avalanche that suffocated the 30-year-old Swede.
She had gotten married just two months ago.
This was the eerily calm video she posted to Instagram just before taking what would be the last run of her life.

UbiSoft had this to say about Rapaport's untimely death: "Matilda's courage, passion, and desire to share the sport she loved with the world served as an inspiration for other athletes and for us all. This tragic accident has deeply touched us. Our hearts and prayers go out to her husband and her wider family at this difficult time."
