Believe it or not, these are the sweaters that the European team will wear for the competition, beginning Friday in Perthshire, Scotland*. Rory McIlroy is there, and despite the sweater you see above, many babes are following his every move -- he's been linked with several since his breakup with Caroline Wozniacki earlier this year. How does he do it?
No. 1, he called off a celebrity marriage: Wozniacki failed to advance to the finals this past March. No. 2, he's a rich golfer. And McIlroy, who was participating in a golf documentary for the BBC recently, said as much during filming. London Daily Mail:
Asked what he would be if he hadn't taken up golf, the four-time major winner, 25, quipped: 'A virgin'.
Awesome. But there was another great line to come from Ryder Cup practice recently. Phil Mickelson, being interviewed today at a press conference, was asked if the U.S. team was as close as the European team. Here was his response:
The crack was aimed at European teammates McIlroy and and Graeme McDowell. The former is suing Horizon Sports Management, which formerly represented him and where McDowell is a partner.
