Ten-Year-Old Saves Oblivious Dad With Awesome Foul Ball Catch At Giants Game
John Pizzi. a 10-year-old Little Leaguer from Fairfax, CA, made his biggest catch of the season on Sunday -- one that saved his dad.
It happened at AT&T Park as the Giants' Brandon Crawford hit a foul ball that headed right toward a man in the front row of the stands, who, as it turns out, was looking for a beer vendor. Certain doom -- except that his son was paying attention, and snagged the ball before it could tag dad in the head.
Pizzi plays for West Marin Little League, and he's a big deal over on their Facebook page today.
The kid, via CBS Sports:
"I didn't really see it coming, it was... it came, I stuck my glove out and caught it while my dad wasn't looking. He turned around, I show him the ball, he starts laughing."
By the way, check out the West Marin 9-10 All-Stars' battle chant. En Vogue! Awesome.
