After Donald Trump announced his desire to debate Bernie Sanders for charity, saying that $10 million should do it, someone immediately called his bluff. New York investment firm CEO Richie Hecker immediately put up the 10mil, and sent it back to Trump’s camp to get the ball rolling.
Then boxing promoter Bob Arum upped the ante — offering to promote the debate, promising to donate the proceeds — a minimum of $20 million — to charity.
But Trump turned down the debate a few hours ago. And the internet acted accordingly. As of this writing, the #ChickenTrump meme was trending No. 1 on Twitter, way ahead of Johnny Depp. That is so righteous.
When the bully gets called out, then makes an excuse not to fight “Um, my mom wants me home for piano practice, and I’ve got a sore shoulder …”
