VIDEO: Tim Gilbert Infiltrates The Tomato Throwing Fantasy Football League
Coming in last in your fantasy football league is usually bad enough for people to take their teams seriously, what with all the work place taunting and embarrassment that comes with blowing it on a bad pick or a rough week. Sometimes though, the fear of failure is not enough. Almost everyone has been in a league at one point or another where one person just cops out and stops trying, or always forgets to adjust their roster before game day.
Well apparently these New Jersey bros were having none of it, because they instituted a system that they describe as "incentive" based. The incentive? To avoid being pelted by an inordinate amount of tomatoes every week.
If you're a little bit confused as to how this all works, your not the only one. Luckily, FNTSY Sports Network's Tim Gilbert took a trip to the Jersey Shore to check in with these guys and get an up close and personal look at just what these men endure to be a part of this insane fantasy football tradition.
And there's even a slight chance that Tim gets in on the action, and maybe even loves it? Check it out:
