Baserunner Steal Home By Diving Through Batter’s Legs
Although we like to believe the fairytale about the baserunner who outran a pitch to steal home, the reality is you're only gonna get from third to home by sneaking your way there. Either that, or a past ball. (Or, ya know, on a basehit.)
A high schooler in Iowa just showed the world a new route: between the batter's legs.
That's right, Drew Eich took off while the pitcher was busy with his delivery, leaping head first toward his teammate, who casually stood in the batter's box as if there wasn't a six-foot 18-year-old about to burst through his legs.
