Jason Williams Can’t Coach Because He May Run Off To Augusta
White Chocolate, Jason Williams, has had a bit of a renaissance as of late. Playing for Pedro's Posse in The Basketball Tournament, Williams and Mike Bibby's squad had a surprisingly long run that ended on Friday night. Williams had a rough final game, scoring just 10 points and 3 assists. The disappointing finale was probably because Williams was saving up for the post game pipe bombs.
In an interview with Did You See That, Williams gave his opinion on his own performance and adamantly claimed he will be back in next year's tournament. Well, actually he said "Does a fat hog fart?" but we'll take that to mean he's definitely coming back.
After this performance, there were questions if the former Kings guard would try and get back into the NBA in a coaching capacity. Let's just say that White Chocolate isn't exactly the ideal candidate for that type of position.
Via DYST..."You know man, I’m one irresponsible 40-year old. So coaching is out the window…no way. You know I could maybe be an assistant somewhere. But if I’ve got a responsibility to be somewhere at like 3 o’clock tomorrow for practice and someone calls me to go to Augusta and play golf, I’m going to go play golf. So I can’t have that responsibility. So no. But as an assistant, I’ll be there to help. It might be Tuesdays and Thursdays but other than that, I’m good."
Williams would go on to comment about Durant's decision to join Golden State (he liked KD making the best decision for himself) and then called Charles Barkley a loser. It's nice to know that Williams didn't lose his spark in his advanced age. White Chocolate always was fresh.
