Russell Westbrook Ruled Out (Rest) Tonight Against Timberwolves

Marc J. Spears of ESPN reports that the Washington Wizards will rest Russell Westbrook tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Washington is one of two teams that is still winless on the year, and tonight’s game would be their third in four nights. Last night, the Wizards came close to winning their first game as they led the Bulls 126-125 with just under two minutes left in the game before ultimately losing 133-130.
Westbrook posted his fourth triple-double in as many games this season, and Raul Neto is likely to take his place in the starting lineup. When Westbrook missed a game earlier this season, Neto filled in with 22 points and five assists.
This is a tough scheduling spot for the Wizards, and early sharp money appears to be siding with the Timberwolves in this matchup. Minnesota is as high as a 2.5-point favorite, but FanDuel hasn’t adjusted their price just yet as they’re still listed as a 1-point favorite.
