Browns Activate Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson From Reserve/COVID-19 List

The Browns were in a disastrous spot last week vs. the Steelers, but they managed to survive without their head coach and a host of other key players. Luckily, they won’t be nearly as shorthanded for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. Ward and Johnson have been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, which means their top two cornerbacks will be back in action.
The timing couldn’t be better for Cleveland. The Chiefs have a dangerous passing attack, headlined by Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill. They led the league with an average of 303.4 passing yards per game during the regular season, so the Browns will need all the help they can get to try and slow down that unit.
Even with the Browns nearing full strength, the Chiefs are still expected to take care of business this weekend. They’re currently listed as 10-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook, making them the largest favorites of the week.
