College Football Betting Guide: Thursday 11/19/20
numberFire has built comprehensive algorithms to pinpoint the bets with the highest probability of returning money, whether you are betting on the total, the spread, or the moneyline. For those new to numberFire, we use a five-star system to show which bets you should be targeting for any given game. Stars represent how much you should risk on a wager relative to what you would normally bet.
For example, if you would normally bet $110 to win $100 on a -110 spread wager, if we give a 3-star ranking, we suggest risking three times that amount: $330 to win $300. Here are the best bets for this weekend with guidance from our model. All advanced statistics are courtesy of the S&P individual team statistical profiles, except where noted.

Tulane +6.5: 2 Stars out of 5
Tulane is off to a good start this season at 5-4, and they are riding a three-game winning streak. Tulsa are having a good season, as well, with a 4-1 record, but their last two victories have each been by only four points.
Our projections have Tulsa winning this one 28.56-24.72 in a close game. Tulsa are the better team and should win (we give them a 63.2% chance to win outright), but we give Tulane a 58.02% chance to cover the 6.5-point spread. Overall, we rate this as a two-star bet, so while it’s far from a lock, we do like this as a decent betting opportunity for Thursday night.
Wyoming -20.5: 3 Stars out of 5
Wyoming are off to a 1-2 start to the season. The Cowboys lost in overtime to Nevada in their opener and then blew out Hawaii before losing by 10 to Colorado State. It’s certainly not the best start for Wyoming, but they did finish 8-5 last year and should project to be a similarly decent team in the Mountain West once again this year.
On the other side, Utah State has been horrendous this campaign, starting 0-4 and losing all their games in blowout fashion. The Aggies have lost every game by at least 19 points this season, so the 20.5-point betting line should be manageable for Wyoming.
Our model has Wyoming winning 36.6-13.41, and we give the Cowboys a 63.12% chance to cover. We rate this a three-star wager, and it’s our best bet of the night.
