Is Ohio State the smart play over Clemson in the Sugar Bowl?
Initially, it really seemed like Clemson would just roll on here. This Buckeyes team is not the same, but they post this +7.5 spread, and it’s just thought-provoking. I mean, they played last year in the semis, with a 2.5-point spread for Clemson. Are you telling me that this year’s Clemson is five points better than last year’s Clemson and Ohio State’s version from last year to this year? Not really sure that is the case.
Maybe I’m just too excited here about the underdogs and the college football playoff. It just feels like the Buckeyes are the play here at +7.5. Sure, Ohio State didn’t beat everybody by 45 points like we thought they would all year along. But they’re still 6-0. Northwestern’s probably better than we ended up giving them credit for, and they got by them. The Buckeyes just rolled over Michigan State, putting up 52 points and winning by 40. And don’t forget the Spartans did beat that same Northwestern squad.
Justin Fields is a good quarterback and nothing against Clemson, but he can lead and play better. It’s worth going out swinging here and hit up FanDuel’s Sportsbook getting seven and a half points and +245 on the moneyline.
