Jimmy Butler Headlines Another Lengthy Injury Report for Heat
January 17Matt LaMarcaSportsGrid
The Heat are on the verge of getting back to full strength, with a few key exceptions. Jimmy Butler has been ruled out for the fourth straight game due to health and safety protocols, and Meyers Leonard and Avery Bradley have also been ruled out. Tyler Herro is also listed as questionable with a neck injury, while Gabe Vincent is probable with a knee injury.
The Heat managed just 100 points with Butler and Herro out of the lineup in their last contest, and they used a bit of an unconventional starting lineup. Both Goran Dragic and Kendrick Nunn came off the bench, with Vincent operating as the starting point guard. That said, Vincent played just 15.6 minutes, while Dragic and Nunn both played at least 27.2. Dragic posted a usage rate of 29.1% in that contest, and he’s seen the largest usage bump on the team with Butler off the court this season. That makes him an interesting option on FanDuel Monday vs. the Bulls.
