Nets’ Kevin Durant Listed as Questionable Tonight with Injury Recovery
January 22Michael ArinzeSportsGrid
Nets forward Kevin Durant is listed as questionable with injury recovery for tonight’s game in Cleveland against the Cavaliers. The Nets are pretty much showing their hand by making this distinction almost 12 hours before tip-off.
Brooklyn lost the first leg of their series with Cleveland, 147-135 in double overtime, so it makes sense to give Durant a breather here after he played 50 minutes in the game, which was tied for the second-most of any player.
It will be interesting to see how the Nets approach tonight’s game if Durant is held out. Brooklyn lacks scoring depth on their bench as they were outscored by Cleveland 34 to 10.
Joe Harris is a player who could get some extra touches tonight if the big three is indeed down to the big two.
Harris is averaging 11.6 points in his last 5 games, and he’s certainly one player I would look to target with a prop at over 13 points or better.
As for the game itself, early sharp money was already on the Nets, but this line has taken a nosedive down to seven points on the Durant news after Brooklyn opened as high as a 10-point favorite.
