David Beckham Threw An All-Star Private Party To Celebrate His Scotch Whisky Brand
Let's pretend for a moment that you aren't a multi-year NBA All-Star (like Scottie Pippen, Chris Bosh, or Alonzo Mourning), didn't play Jackie Robinson on film (Chadwick Boseman), aren't the quarterback of the Dolphins (Ryan Tannehill), weren't on "Psych" (Dule Hill), and don't have 35 movies under your belt (Taiwanese actor Chang Chen). In other words, you weren't invited to David Beckham's Haig Club party Tuesday night in Miami.
But we found some pictures to share!
Beckham is a partner in Haig Club, a premium Scotch whisky, and the dinner was part of the House of Haig in Miami (which runs until the 18th -- and we have no idea how you can get in). Drinks were obviously served with Beckham's Haig Club, and the most interesting of the group was the Chocolate Old Fashioned:
CHOCOLATE OLD FASHIONED:
-2 oz. Haig Club
-0.33 Vanilla syrup (1:1)
-3 dashes of chocolate bitters
Stir and serve strained into an Old Fashioned glass with a big ice cube.
Grapefruit peel (discard)
Grated dark chocolate on top
A five-course dinner was prepared by Top Chef Master Michelle Bernstein, and... well, is this just depressing everyone for not trying a little harder at being an elite athlete/actor?
Photos of the event are below (and Haig Club is available at your local store). Enjoy responsibly!
