Al Jefferson is Immensely Underrated in the Daily Game
Tuesday only had three games, but there were some big numbers put up by Carmelo Anthony, John Wall and Kobe Bryant. Hopefully you cashed in.
For Wednesday, there are 12 games that we can look at so it’s going to be tough to pick your lineup scrolling through that enormous list of players. Let’s look at the only two games that have an over/under above 200 points.
Minnesota at Milwaukee. Milwaukee’s defense is worse at home than it is on the road which is kind of confusing, but good if you like Minnesota.
-Nikola Pekovic loves playing through ankle and feet injuries which is why he’s a good play. After missing the Timberwolves game last Saturday, he came back on Monday night to put in 41 minutes, 29 points and five rebounds. The guy plays through pain and he’s only $6,700 at DraftKings.com.
-On the other side of the ball, Larry Sanders costs the same amount at DK and has been putting up the same dominant numbers. He has double-doubles in two straight games.
Some other players that you can count on and aren’t all that expensive is Ersan Ilyasova, Monta Ellis and Ricky Rubio.
Denver at Utah. The Nuggets are playing really well right now, but it’s never easy playing in Utah.
-Why is Al Jefferson only $7,300 at DK? Who cares, but the way he’s playing right now is good enough reason to get him on your team before you go for the more expensive players. He’s had more than 40 Fantasy Points in four straight games. Enough said.
-The Nuggets are really frustrating in Fantasy because they have a deep team that spreads the ball around. Without Ty Lawson, my vote goes to Andre Miller in this game. He only had three assists in their last game, but I expect that number to jump in this one.
Here are some more players in favorable matchups for Wednesday night:
Stephen Curry, G, Warriors (vs. NO):
$9,700 at DraftKings.com
$19,847 at DraftStreet.com
Obviously he’s really expensive, but if you wanted to splurge on one player, he would be it. Curry has just been stroking it from long range lately and is basically unstoppable. For a basic guarantee in your lineup, get Curry at home against a bad defense.
Eric Bledsoe, G, Clippers (vs. PHO):
$3,100 at DraftKings.com
$7,127 at DraftStreet.com
This game could easily lead to a blow out for the Clips which is why the very abled Bledsoe deserves a look. He can be grabbed for almost the minimum value at DK yet he’s almost a guarantee for 15 Fantasy Points. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets to 20 tonight.
Brandon Bass, PF/C, Celtics (vs. DET):
$4,300 at DraftKings.com
$9,930 at DraftStreet.com
I was close to picking Avery Bradley but decided to go with a big here. The Pistons are a struggling team which is all that needs to be said. Andre Drummond is in the starting lineup, but he’s still not 100 percent which should make things easier for Bass who could be matched up with Jason Maxiell. What’s not to like about a cheap big man that’s been averaging about 25 Fantasy Points over his last 10 or so games?
