JARRETT JACK IS STEPPING UP IN THE PLAYOFFS
I’m a broken record lately, but that’s what I have to be until prices start to change at DraftKings. I know there are a bunch of Daily Fantasy sites out there, but it’d be wise to get multiple accounts (which is what I do) to capitalize on the best values. For Friday, the best value by far is Carmelo Anthony sitting at a cool $8,600. This is a guy that’s usually above $10,000, yet he’s the fifth-most expensive player tonight. Instead, the most expensive player happens to be Stephen Curry who currently has an ankle injury and could be limited. Why would anyone want Curry on their squad after he said he wouldn’t have been able to play on Thursday if they had a game?
I know Andre Iguodala is a great player, but is he really worth more than Melo?
Jarrett Jack, PG/SG, Warriors (vs. DEN)
$6,500 at DraftKings.com
And just like that, David Lee’s injury gives Jack a boost even though they don’t play the same positions. Since the Nuggets don’t use a lot of size, the Warriors decided to do the same and put Jack in the starting lineup last game. It worked and Jack played really well with 26 points and seven assists. If Curry misses time, it will help Jack even more.
Jeff Green, SF/PF, Celtics (vs. NY)
$6,000 at DraftKings.com
Green sucked last game and was a total disappointment for anyone that got him. I expect that to change with this series in Boston. The Celtics are playing for their lives and it will be their first home game since what happened at the Marathon. Green is someone that can make a difference as seen in Game 1 and Kevin Garnett is battling injury.
Kenneth Faried, PF, Nuggets (at GS)
$3,000 at DraftKings.com
How often do you see a starter worth just $3,000? Almost never. Faried is coming back to full strength and will be back in the starting lineup Friday night for the Nuggets. He was in foul trouble for most of Game 2 which is why he only played 21 minutes. Expect more tonight.
Darius Morris, PG/SG, PG/SG (vs. SAS)
$3,000 at DraftKings.com
Oh look, another starter that’s $3,000. This one makes a little more sense as the Lakers lost most of their backcourt last game. Morris and Chris Duhon could be starting in Game 3. Just sink that statement in. Morris isn’t great, but at least he will get minutes.
Tony Parker, PG, Spurs (vs. LAL)
$7,600 at DraftKings.com
Looking at the other end of the court, Parker should have free range to do whatever he wants offensively against the Lakers. He’ll be going against guards that haven’t played big minutes all year. Parker could easily get 40 Fantasy Points again if not more.
More players to look at: Dwight Howard, Manu Ginobili, Ty Lawson, Paul Pierce, Raymond Felton.
