JOHN WALL PLAYS BETTER AT HOME AND GUESS WHERE HE’LL BE TONIGHT?
And just like that we go from a two-game day to 14 games in the schedule. Yesterday was kind of brutal if you played Daily NBA just because everyone had the same players. I went bold and said Raymond Felton over J.R. Smith and it backfired, but hey, you shouldnt’ve joined a big contest anyway with only two games.
Friday is the time to open your pocket with so many games. Let’s see what we can do.
Kawhi Leonard, G/F, Spurs (vs. SAC)
$6,800 at DraftKings.com
$7,100 at FanDuel.com
Expect Leonard to get plenty of minutes in the final few games as they Spurs are dealing with a few injuries. He’s still a young player and it’s unlikely Popovich (hopefully) will give him some rest before postseason. As long as 35-40 minutes are there for him, good things will be there for him.
Kobe Bryant, G, Lakers (vs. GS)
$9,900 at DraftKings.com
$9,800 at FanDuel.com
Kobe is just feeling it right now yet he costs a good amount less than a few other guys (at DK). How can you not like him after his last 47-point barrage? The only problem is that the Warriors are coming off a back-to-back which means this game could get out of hand. Hopefully, that’s not the case as Kobe will be needed for a full 48 minutes again.
John Henson, F, Bucks (at ATL)
$3,000 at DraftKings.com
$3,500 at FanDuel.com
Let’s just say he’ll be on a lot of people’s radars after his last game that earned him 67 Fantasy Points at DraftKings. If Larry Sanders plays, then his value isn’t as high, but for $3,000, you can’t get much higher upside.
John Wall, G, Wizards (vs. PHI)
$8,700 at DraftKings.com
$9,400 at FanDuel.com
Wall gets close to 50 Fantasy Points almost every game and home and tonight he’ll be matched up with the 76ers who haven’t looked good in a while. For his price, I’d put him above guys like Russell Westbrook who costs more than $1,000 more than Wall at DK.
Andre Drummond, F/C, Pistons (vs. CHA)
$4,500 at DraftKings.com
$5,300 at FanDuel.com
The clocks winding down on the season and a lot of rookies will be getting more playing time. That starts with Drummond who is coming off a 29-point, 11 rebound performance after getting Hack-A-Dre treatment against the Cavs last time out. He’s averaging at least 10 rebounds in his last four and will surely get that mark against the Bobcats. Khris Middleton is another guy to consider for the Pistons if you want to go cheaper.
Keep an eye on the Heat’s injuries because if the Big 3 sit out again, there will be plenty of cheapies to get your hands on… Sure, the Bulls are on a back-to-back, but Jimmy Butler only costs $5,300. The guy is young, who cares if he played 50 minutes last night, he had 57 FP… I said it a few days ago, Andre Iguodala is taking a bigger role as of late which shows in his near triple-double numbers in almost every game. Expect more of the season against a poor defense of the Mavs, and he’s relatively cheap… Blake Griffin now has two straight solid games and I’m betting on a third. His price took a big fall in the past month, and is sitting nicely as sleeper value.
