KEVIN GARNETT WILL BE A BIGGER FACTOR ON TUESDAY
The road teams finally showed up last night as the Bulls won and the Grizzlies put up a real fight against the Clippers. Boston should be able to do a little more in their second game, but the other two road teams are going to have some trouble. The Bucks are playing the Heat, while the Warriors have to play the Nuggets without David Lee. While that makes Carl Landry a starter, it doesn’t exactly do that much as Landry is not the same kind of player that Lee is which will hamper the Warriors even more in this series.
As usual, let’s find some abnormalities in the latest pricing schemes at DraftKings.com.
Carmelo Anthony, SF/PF, Knicks (vs. BOS)
$9,300 at DraftKings.com
LeBron James, SF/PF, Heat (vs. MIL)
$9,100 at DraftKings.com
Does anyone know why Melo and LeBron are more than $1,000 less than Stephen Curry? It makes absolutely no sense any way you look at it. LeBron was two assists away from a triple-double last game and Melo went for 36 points.
There’s no way around it, you need at least one of these guys on your team. The best strategy may be to have both.
Mario Chalmers, PG, Heat (vs. MIL)
$4,100 at DraftKings.com
Just like Blake Griffin who struggled mightily in Game 1, I believe Chalmers will turn things around in Game 2. Griffin went from fouling out to dominating the game. While Chalmers won’t be dominating any time soon, he will likely play more than 23 minutes and won’t be in foul trouble for the majority of the game.
Kevin Garnett, PF/C, Celtics (at NYK)
$5,600 at DraftKings.com
Of all people, Garnett knows that you can’t go down 0-2 in a playoff series. Garnett didn’t do much offensively in the first game, but still had 25 Fantasy Points. I expect a better offensive performance on Tuesday from him and north of 35 FP. For his price, that’s a decent value.
Wilson Chandler, SG/SF, Nuggets (vs. GS)
$6,400 at DraftKings.com
Chandler could very easily be matched up with Landry in this game (with Kenneth Faried likely not starting) which would be a big advantage for him on the offensive end. Chandler didn’t shoot great in Game 1 (5-for-16), but still managed to help out owners with 13 rebounds.
More players to look at: Chris Andersen, Carl Landry (a lot of people will have him), Jeff Green, Ty Lawson, Jarrett Jack, Avery Bradley.
