AVOID TIM DUNCAN, BRANDON KNIGHT IN DAILY PLAY FRIDAY
It will be a very busy evening in the National Basketball Association Friday, Nov. 1, which is usually the case on Thursday. The Miami-Brooklyn (8:00pm ET) and San Antonio-L.A. Lakers (10:30pm ET) games are nationally televised on ESPN.

THESE SEVEN COULD BE HEAVENLY
Michael Carter-Williams, G, Philadelphia ($10875 at WAS): It was just one game, but MCW was quite impressive, especially considering he was facing the defending NBA champs in his first career game. Now, he'll be facing a Washington Wizards team which was trampled for 113 points in its opener.
Boris Diaw, F, San Antonio ($6655 at LAL): Spurs F Tim Duncan (chest) is unlikely to play in Friday's road game, so look for Diaw to see some extra run to fill the void. He won't put up a giant stat line, but he should have production which well exceeds his salary.
Reggie Jackson, G, Oklahoma City ($10010 at MIN): Jackson was not terrible in the season opener in Salt Lake City Wednesday, but he was nothing special filling in for the injured G Russell Westbrook (knee). Jackson should find more success in Minneapolis against a T'Wolves teams which gave up 115 points in an OT win against the Orlando Magic.
Gary Neal, G, Milwaukee ($5745 at BOS): Neal will see an uptick in production with G Brandon Knight (hamstring) sidelined. Neal is a solid shooter from beyond the perimeter, and if he catches fire he could well exceed expectations.
Zaza Pachulia, C, Milwaukee ($5820 at BOS): The Celtics don't really have an established center down low, so Pachulia and starter C Larry Sanders ($15525) could be in for big nights. Pachulia opened with 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 34 minutes off the bench Wednesday in New York. If he gets 24-28 minutes again off the bench, Pachulia should be quite a gem out of the bargain bin.
Dennis Schroeder, G, Atlanta ($5105 vs TOR): Schroeder wasn't great in his NBA debut Wednesday in Dallas, but he posted five points, five assists and four rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench. If you're looking to save a little salary, Schroeder could be a nice low-end option with a little upside.
Tiago Splitter, C, San Antonio ($11565 at LAL): With Duncan (chest) likely to sit Friday, Splitter should pick up the slack.
INJURY ISSUES AND RISKS
Andrew Bynum, C, Cleveland ($13255 at CHA): Bynum (knee) was a surprise addition to the rotation in Wednesday's opener against Brooklyn, but his status remains a game-by-game decision, and right now it is still rather murky. He could very well play, but it is unlikely he comes anywhere close to earning his lofty daily salary. The risk is just not worth it.
Tim Duncan, F, San Antonio ($16045 at LAL): The San Antonio Express-News is reporting that Duncan (chest) is dealing with a chest contusion. He is traveling with the team, but is unlikely to play Friday.
Brandon Knight, G, Milwaukee ($10225 at BOS): Knight (hamstring) was forced from the opener in New York due to a hamstring ailment, and he has already been ruled out for this one.
Kyle Lowry, G, Toronto ($14095 at ATL): Lowry (finger) is playing with a splint on his finger, and he told TSN.ca that it is something he is still getting used to. If he is not comfortable, that will likely affect his stat lines. On a night with plenty of other options, avoid Lowry.
Luke Ridnour, G, Milwaukee ($6870 at BOS): If you were hoping to sneak through Ridnour at this low salary, don't. He is unlikely to play due to a back injury.
Deron Williams, G, Brooklyn ($15445 vs MIA): The New York Post is reporting that GM Billy King said Thursday in a radio interview that Williams (ankle) will have his minutes restriction lifted by Sunday's game against Orlando. That means he could be a cap again Friday, and that hurts his Fantasy appeal.
