Daily Fantasy: Championship Week CFB picks
It's championship week in College Football, and there are still plenty of Daily Fantasy options available, too. In fact, there are some intriguing values either due to injury or due to a favorable matchup. A handful of leagues such as the American Athletic Conference and Big 12, which do not have conference championship games, are wrapping up their regular season this weekend. Enjoy the slate of games, and good luck!
(FantasyAces.com salaries in parentheses) (all times ET)
Cody Thomas, Oklahoma ($4950 vs Oklahoma State): Thomas will make the start in place of the injured QB Trevor Knight (cervical), and he could post a strong stat line against an Oklahoma State defense which has been punched around in the second half of the season. OK State has allowed 28 or more points in five straight games, and 20 or more points in each of their past eight. Thomas will post at least 250 yards passing with two or three scores, if not more.
Dalvin Cook, Florida State ($4350 vs Georgia Tech): Cook led the Seminoles in rushing, and the freshman is expected to shoulder most of the load in the ACC Championship Game with Karlos Williams (concussion) sidelined with a concussion. Cook rolled up 144 yards against rival Florida in the regular season finale, and he has at least 76 rushing yards in each of the past three outings with a total of two touchdowns.
Kenneth Farrow, Houston ($4750 at Cincinnati): Farrow is a solid mid-level Daily Fantasy option. He is very underrated, having scored at least one touchdown in each of the past four games, finding the end zone five times total during the span. He also has a receiving score in the four-game stretch, and he has rushed for a total of 222 yards in his past two outings. When healthy, he is one of the best in the AAC.
Bud Sasser, Missouri ($4950 vs Alabama): The Tigers of Mizzou are heavy underdogs against Alabama, and therefore expected to play from behind. That likely means Sasser and the passing game will post plenty of statistics. Over the past five games Sasser has been targeted at least nine times in each outing, and he has four or more grabs and at least 67 yards in each game. He dropped 127 yards on Arkansas in last weekend's win, and he has five scores over the past five games.
Tommy Shuler, Marshall ($4900 vs Louisiana Tech): Many people have been overlooking the Conference USA championship game, but there are some fantastic Fantasy options in this game. And, Shuler might be the cream of the crop. Over the past two games he has been among the best in the nation, converting 27 of his targets into 20 receptions, 264 yards and two scores. He has been consistent, going for 10 grabs, 132 yards and one touchdown in each of the two games.
E.J. Bibbs, Iowa State ($4500 at TCU): Bibbs has hauled in eight touchdowns this season, the most of any DFS tight end on the board. Six of those scores have come over the past five games. He has five or more catches in four of the past five, and he has averaged 52.4 yards per game during the span.
