Daily Fantasy: Tuesday’s NHL picks
There are 11 evening games on tap in the National Hockey League Tuesday, Nov. 18, and the San Jose-Buffalo (7:30pm ET) game is nationally televised on NBC Sports Network. Enjoy the nearly full slate of games.
(FantasyAces.com salaries in parentheses) (all times ET)
Jonas Hiller, Calgary ($7650 vs ANA): Hiller is confirmed as the starter for Tuesday's game, and he'll be pumped up to face his former team. And his former team isn't playing particularly well, either, going just 1-5 in their past six overall. Vegas has this game as a virtual coin-flip, so Hiller isn't a slam-dunk DFS option for a win. However, you have to love the extra motivation facing his old mates.
Jori Lehtera, St. Louis ($4750 at BOS): Lehtera has been on a tear lately, posting five goals with nine points and a plus-8 rating over the past five games, and he enters play with a seven-game points streak. He also has gained plenty of confidence lately, squeezing off at least three shots on goal (SOG) in each of the past four.
Tyler Seguin, Dallas ($5950 vs CAR): Seguin has cooled off a bit, but the loss of Daily Fantasy owners from days past will be your benefit. His salary has dropped as a result of no goals, just one assist and a minus-1 rating over the past two games. He will get back on the board Tuesday. Remember, he still has five goals over the past four games despite the poor performance in the past two.
Filip Forsberg, C-RW, Nashville ($5100 at TOR): Forsberg is playing like his namesake Peter lately, although there is no relation. While he had his six-game goal-scoring streak, and seven-game points streak, shut down last time out against Winnipeg of all teams, he has still been red hot. He has seven goals and 13 points over the past eight games with a plus-9 rating during the impressive span. He'll rebound after the off game, and reward DFS owners with at least an assist and positive plus/minus rating with a few SOG.
Scott Hartnell, Columbus ($4700 vs DET): The tough-as-nails Hartnell will be instrumental in this hard-hitting game Tuesday. Even when he isn't on the scoresheet, he is taking plenty of shots, blocking shots and mixing it up to spend time in the penalty box. Look for a positive DFS night from Hartnell Tuesday.
T.J. Brodie, Calgary ($4400 vs ANA): Brodie hasn't scored a goal in seven games, but that's not what you're paying for. He has helped out with plenty of assists, but his value comes on SOG and blocked shots. Rarely does he have a negative night for DFS owners.
