Daily Fantasy: Wednesday’s CBK picks
It's a full night on the college hardwood, and there are plenty of great Daily Fantasy options in action. The key in college basketball is not just looking for hot players, but guys on a nice run who also happening to be playing against defensively challenged teams.
(FanDuel.com salaries in parentheses) (all times ET).
Andrew Andrews, Washington ($6200 at OREGON): Andrews is a lower-priced option than his more popular teammate G Nigel Williams-Goss ($8300). The Ducks rank 292nd in team scoring defense, allowing 71.1 points per game, so Andrews and Williams-Goss should both find plenty of open looks. Andrews has posted 27.4 or more Fantasy points in four of the past five games, averaging 15.6 points per game (PPG), 5.4 rebounds per game (RPG) with 2.4 assists per game (APG) and 1.4 steals per game (SPG).
Demetrius Jackson, Notre Dame ($6700 vs BC): Jackson has scored double digits in five straight games, going for 18.8 or more Daily Fantasy points in four of the past five. He'll also toss in a handful of assists and rebounds. Jackson is averaging 1.1 SPG over the past 10, and he takes good care of the ball, turning it over just 1.3 times per game during the same span.
Jaron Blossomgame, Clemson ($6800 at FSU): Blossomgame is a solid scoring threat, but he is also adept at rebounding while also chipping in with a steal or two per game. He does a little bit of everything, but still comes with a very nice mid-level Daily Fantasy salary.
Shannon Hale, Alabama ($4500 vs MIZZOU): Hale bagged 13 points against top-ranked Kentucky last time out, and he has hit double digits in Daily Fantasy points in four of the past five. He won't play more than 14-18 minutes in a competitive game, but he will post five to eight points with a handful of rebounds, a blocked shot and an occasional steal, too. At this price level he is a good play against a poor defensive club, and he will save you plenty of salary to spend elsewhere.
Daniel Hamilton, Connecticut ($7300 vs ECU): Hamilton has giant Daily Fantasy stat line potential, as not only is he averaging 10.2 PPG over the past six games, but he is also averaging 8.8 RPG with 3.3 APG since Jan. 13. He could drop a double-double on the Pirates, who rank 175th in the nation in scoring defense.
