The Hawks will give the nod to C Pero Antic ($7156 vs GS) against Golden State Friday. He has hit just five of his past 16 field goal attempts over the past three games, but he has been a strong rebounder, and he can hit an occasional three. Antic has 11.25 or more Fantasy points in three straight outings, and it isn't unrealistic to expect about 20 points tonight. He'll get a long look with C Al Horford done for the season. ... F DeMarre Carroll ($6734) (thumb) is also back after two games due to ligament issues in his thumb. He was playing pretty well in mid-December, stringing together three games with at least 22.25 Fantasy points. At this price level, he is worth a look.
Head coach Rick Carlisle told the team's official website that F Dirk Nowitzki ($15180) (ankle) is a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Clippers due to a left ankle injury. If you have the luxury and can make late lineup changes, F Jae Crowder ($4847) could be a steal if Nowitzki is a scratch tonight. C Brandan Wright ($9315) might also pick up some extra run and scoring responsibilities.
The Nuggets face a daunting task at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, as they try to stop an eight-game losing skid. Head coach Brian Shaw won't alter his lineup, according to NBA.com, so G Ty Lawson ($15456), C J.J. Hickson ($12380), F Wilson Chandler ($10922), F Kenneth Faried ($8933) and G Randy Foye ($8025) will be the starting five. Faried and Foye might be decent low-end plays who could exceed salary expectations.
The Rockets are expected to welcome back C Greg Smith ($5810) (knee) for Friday's game after he missed the past six games. Daily Fantasy owners haven't gotten much out of Smith, but if you like him for some reason, he'll be back.
LOS ANGELES LAKERS
The Lakers will use C Robert Sacre ($7225 vs UTA) in the starting lineup against Utah Friday. We've seen this movie before, and it usually doesn't end well. Even when Sacre has started, his minutes have been limited. However, if he plays 20 minutes or so, expect about 12-16 Fantasy points. At this salary level, that's not terrible, and his low price will allow you to spend heavily elsewhere. ... G Nick Young ($11624) will also be a part of the starting five, and he has been producing. Young has 21.5 or more Fantasy in each of his past three, including 21.5 at Utah Dec. 27. He is a strong mid-level play.
