SO YOU WANT A BIG TICKET ITEM?
LeBron James, F, Miami ($20472 at SAC): You'll want to make sure to squeeze LeBron into your daily Fantasy lineup, as he is going to stuff the stat sheet big time. The Sacramento Kings allow 103.6 points per game, which is second-worst in the NBA only to the Philadelphia 76ers (111.7 ppg). The King had a rather pedestrian 27.5 Fantasy points, his lowest total over the past 15 games. Don't expect it to happen again. He had 38.5 Fantasy points in the first meeting with Sacto back on Dec. 20 at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
If you spend big up top, you're going to need some fillers to bring down your average per player salary. Check out these steals from the bargain bin:
Trey Burke, G, Utah ($10526 vs LAL): Burke has been highly erratic lately, posting 20.25 or more Fantasy points in 11 of his past 14 games. When he hasn't hit that mark, he has been brutal, going for seven or fewer Fantasy points in the three other games. Ahh, the joys of using a rookie in Fantasy play. It is hard to imagine he'll struggle with this shot in this one, as the Los Angeles Lakers haven't been pressuring anyone, allowing 103.3 points per game.
Derrick Favors, F, Utah ($13315 vs LAL): The Lakers are awful defensively, and the Favors should be able to take advantage of a team missing it's best defensive big man down low. Favors has been a beast in SLC, averaging 30 Fantasy points over 11 home games as opposed to 24.7 Fantasy points per contest in 18 road outings.
Jordan Hill, F, L.A. Lakers ($10232 at UTA): Hill is expected to see a rather large role in Friday's game at Utah with C Pau Gasol (illness) away from the team recovering from an upper respiratory infection. Hill banged out 30 Fantasy points on Christmas against Miami, and he has 22 or more Fantasy points in two of the past three, and four of the past seven.
Alexis Ajinca, F, New Orleans ($8158 vs DEN): Ajinca has two games under his belt since returning from overseas, and he has managed a total of 29.25 Fantasy points. In his first game at Portland Monday, he opened with 11 rebounds. He is a big body who could go for double-doubles on a regular basis once he gets a little more comfortable with this new teammates.
Terrence Ross, G, Toronto ($6493 at NY): Ross went for 23 points (including three 3-pointers) with three rebounds and 21.75 Fantasy points in his last outing Monday in San Antonio. He has been hot from behind the arc lately, connecting on seven triples over his past three games, and 19 treys over his past eight.
Robert Sacre, C, L.A. Lakers ($5726 at UTA): Sacre is a deep sleeper who could surprise in Salt Lake City Friday, as the Lakers left Gasol back in L.A. due to illness. Sacre could go for upwards of 20 Fantasy points, which would be tremendous given his low salary. F Shawne Williams ($5292) could also be a surprising low-priced play given the same circumstances.
