MONDAY’S DAILY FANTASY BASEBALL PREGAME UPDATE
The rain doesn't appear to be as big of a threat in Baltimore as it looked earlier in the day, although these afternoon thunderstorms can mushroom in the blink of an eye. The radar around Baltimore doesn't look too menacing, but a delay wouldn't be a surprise in the Los Angeles Angels-Baltimore game. It is still a good idea to shy away from the starting pitchers in this game, at the very least. They could start, work a few innings, have a lengthy delay, and then be done for the night. That's no bueno.

If the Orioles do in fact play, they will be without 2B/SS Alexi Casilla (finger) due to a jammed right index finger, according to The Baltimore Sun. 2B/3B Ryan Flaherty ($3,300) gets the starting nod at second base, batting ninth in manager Buck Showalter's lineup.
BOSTON RED SOX
Red Sox C/1B Mike Napoli (rest) is out of the starting lineup Monday, so 1B/OF Mike Carp ($3,200) gets the starting nod at first base with C Jarrod Saltalamacchia ($3,100) behind the dish. 3B Will Middlebrooks ($2,900) is also back from the 15-day disabled list, and he is in the lineup playing third base and batting eighth.
The Astros get OF Brandon Barnes ($2,600) (hamstring) back into the lineup after he missed Sunday's game due to a tight hamstring. That's the good news. The bad news is he faces Seattle Mariners SP Hisashi Iwakuma ($12,200), a guy who hasn't allowed a run in his past two outings.
LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM
The Angels activated OF Peter Bourjos ($5,000) (hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list, and he is back in the lineup as the team's center fielder. As such, OF Mike Trout ($6,900) slides back over to left field. It's a good idea to avoid Bourjos for at least one game to let him prove his health without any setbacks.
LOS ANGELES DODGERS
The legend of OF Yasiel Puig ($4,000) continues to grow. He'll bat cleanup in manager Don Mattingly's lineup against the Arizona Diamondbacks Monday. At this price level, at that spot in the lineup, he is a must-start for Fantasy owners. SS Hanley Ramirez (hamstring) remains sidelined due to his hamstring issue. 2B/3B Nick Punto ($2,800) draws another start at shortstop in his stead.
The Marlins activated OF Giancarlo Stanton ($4,800) (hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list, and he is back in the lineup batting third for manager Mike Redmond. He faces a difficult matchup against Milwaukee Brewers SP Yovani Gallardo ($11,000) in his first game in about five weeks against major league pitching. He is 3-for-9 (.333) with a double and three strikeouts all-time against Gallardo.
Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks ($4,500) has stepped up his play lately, going 5-for-12 (.417) with a triple, home run, two RBI and three runs scored, perhaps feeling the heat from 2B/SS Scooter Gennett ($2,300). Weeks is in the lineup Monday at Miami, and he is a career .444 (8-for-18) hitter with a triple, home run, three RBI and 1.196 OPS all-time against Marlins SP Ricky Nolasco ($7,800). The Brewers are without OF Ryan Braun (thumb) due to continued soreness in his right thumb. OF Logan Schafer ($4,100) gets the start in left field, batting sixth, while OF Carlos Gomez ($5,000) slides into the third spot of manager Ron Roenicke's batting order.
