MONDAY’S PRE-GAME DAILY FANTASY UPDATE
First things first...prayers go out to those in Boston, as details continue to come out after the explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. R.I.P. to those who lost their lives and good luck to those who are/were injured.
As far as Fantasy Baseball is concerned, the weather looks good in Cincinnati and Minneapolis, two spots which looked to be trouble spots earlier in the day. Rain showers in the tri-state area could still form in or around Cincinnati, but the radar map is clear all the way north to Interstate 70, so if you plan to use any Philadelphia Phillies or Cincinnati Reds, it appears there is little risk at this point of the afternoon. The same holds true in Minneapolis, as the Minnesota Twins will play another game at frosty Target Field, but the game with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim appears ready to go off without a weather delay.
However, the game between the New York Mets and Colorado Rockies has been postponed due to snow showers. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday, with both SPs Dillon Gee ($8,400) and Juan Nicasio ($8,900) being pushed back a day to start one of the two games.

LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM
The Angels continue to play without 3B Alberto Callaspo (calf), who might very well hit the 15-day disabled list if he isn't able to return soon. With SS Erick Aybar (heel) already on the DL, that means SS Brendan Harris ($2,200) makes the start at shortstop, with 3B Luis Jimenez ($2,200) getting the nod at the hot corner.
The good news is that OF Justin Ruggiano ($4,200) (groin) is in the lineup for Monday's game against the Washington Nationals. He is 2-for-5 (.400) with a solo home run in his career against SP Jordan Zimmermann ($8,000). The bad news is that OF Giancarlo Stanton ($5,200) (shoulder) is out of the lineup. OF Chris Coghlan ($3,400) will bat second and start in center field, with Ruggiano moving to right. Coghlan is just 1-for-8 (.125) with three strikeouts against Zimmermann. C Rob Brantly ($3,400) doesn't have a huge history against Zimm, but he is 2-for-3 (.667) in their brief encounters.
Manager Ron Gardenhire hasn't necessarily given up on OF Aaron Hicks, who has just two hits in 43 at-bats with a whopping 20 strikeouts this season, but he is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. OF Darin Mastroianni ($4,500) gets the nod atop Gardy's lineup. OF Josh Willingham (illness), is also out of the lineup, according to FOXSportsNorth.com. 1B/OF Chris Parmelee ($3,400) gets the start in right field, with OF Oswaldo Arcia getting the nod in left field. He was just recalled from Triple-A earlier in the day.
OF Coco Crisp ($5,000) (groin) is back in the lineup for Monday's game against the Houston Astros after missing the past two games. That's the good news for Crisp. The bad news is that SP Erik Bedard ($8,700) is still pitching for the Astros. Crisp has managed just one hit in 15 career at-bats (.067) against Bedard.
2B Chase Utley (rest) is getting a scheduled day of rest from manager Charlie Manuel in Cincinnati, as 2B Freddy Galvis ($3,000) was inserted into the lineup and he will bat second behind leadoff hitter, OF Ben Revere ($3,200), and before three-hole hitter SS Jimmy Rollins ($4,500).
TORONTO BLUE JAYS
OF Jose Bautista (back) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox, as manager John Gibbons told MLB.com that Bautista's back spasms flared up in the morning. With Bautista out of the lineup, 2B/OF Emilio Bonifacio ($3,300) gets the start in right field. In fact, Bonifacio is leading off, with 2B/3B Maicer Izturis ($3,500) getting the start at second base and batting eighth. 2B/SS Munenori Kawasaki ($2,000) gets the start at shortstop and he will bat ninth.
1B Adam LaRoche (rest) is out of the lineup for manager Davey Johnson for the road game against the Miami Marlins, as the slugger gets a day of rest. Insert 1B Tyler Moore ($4,100) will get the start, and the powerful youngster is a good start for this one. The Nationals will also be without 2B Danny Espinosa ($3,500), who was hit by a pitch on the right wrist Sunday. 2B/OF Steve Lombardozzi ($3,300) gets the start at second base in his absence.
