Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler ($9025) (toe) told the Chicago Tribune after Monday's shootaround that he will play Monday in Memphis. For F Luol Deng ($14675) (Achilles') things are a little less certain. Right now, he is considered a game-time decision, so it's best to avoid that risky situation.
Nuggets F Darrell Arthur ($6318) (quadriceps) is a risky play for Monday's game against the Heat, although not many were likely to consider him anyway. When healthy, he is only contributing about 10-15 Fantasy points per contest.
MLive.com is reporting that Pistons head coach Mo Cheeks will keep F Josh Smith ($13353) in the starting lineup for Monday's game. Smith was benched in the second half Saturday. Smith could be highly motivated to prove to his coach that he is a hard worker, after taking umbrage to his coach's words to the contrary.
Heat PF/C Chris Andersen (back, neck) doubtful to play in Monday's matchup against his former team, the Denver Nuggets, in the Mile High City. He is dealing with a neck and upper back issue, according to The Denver Post. ... According to the official website of the Denver Nuggets, F LeBron James (groin) has been upgraded from doubtful to a game-time decision for Monday's tilt in Denver, as is G Ray Allen (knee). Each player is tremendously risky for daily Fantasy owners.
Timberwolves swingman Chase Budinger (knee) has been ruled OUT for the game Monday, but the team's official site reports that he did take part in 3-on-3 drills with full contact. He is close to a return, but daily Fantasy owners will want to avoid him until he can officially return and prove his health in one full game without any setbacks.
NEW ORLEANS PELICANS
According to several reports, Pelicans G Eric Gordon (hip) has been downgraded from game-time decision to doubtful for Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Look for swingman Tyreke Evans ($15886) to see more run and responsibilities, making him a tremendous Fantasy option. He has 25.5 or more Fantasy points in each of his past five games, averaging 18.4 ppg, 9.4 apg and 7.2 rpg during the impressive stretch.
Jazz rookie PG Trey Burke ($12204) (ankle) was able to take part in Monday's shootaround, but he told the Salt Lake Tribune that he is "a little sore." It might be best to shop around and leave Burke to the waiver wire Monday.
