THESE FIVE WILL THRIVE
Norichika Aoki, OF, Milwaukee ($3700 at NYM): Aoki hasn't shown a ton of power, but he has been lighting it up average-wise lately. Aoki is 13-for-28 (.464) with eight runs scored, four doubles, three RBI, four walks and no strikeouts over the past seven games.
David DeJesus, OF, Tampa Bay ($4200 at NYY): DeJesus is 10-for-28 (.357) with four doubles, two homers, seven RBI and a 1.101 OPS over his past seven games.
Avisail Garcia, OF, Chicago White Sox ($3900 vs KC): Garcia is getting plenty of playing time for the White Sox, as they see what they have down the stretch. It looks like they have something special in Garcia, as he is 11-for-26 (.423) with five runs scored, a triple, three homers, eight RBI and a 1.254 OPS over his past six games.
Tim Lincecum, SP, San Francisco ($7600 vs LAD): It has been a forgettable season for Lincecum, but oddly enough he is still 2-1 with a 3.86 RA over three starts with 14 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings against the National League West Division champion Los Angeles Dodgers this season.
Alex Rios, OF, Texas ($5300 vs LAA): Rios recently hit for the cycle, and he is 9-for-28 (.321) with five runs scored, a double, triple, two homers and seven RBI over the past seven games. He is a sound investment.
Oswaldo Arcia, OF, Minnesota ($3700 vs CLE): Arcia (knee) got good news Wednesday when an MRI came back clean, with no structural damage to his knee, according to FOXSportsNorth.com. However, he is unlikely to be back until at least the weekend, if then.
Michael Bourn, OF, Cleveland ($4200 vs CHW): Bourn (wrist) did not start Wednesday, but he was able to appear as a pinch runner and finished up in the designated hitter. It's uncertain if he can handle a bat yet, or will start Thursday, so avoid him.
Yunel Escobar, SS, Tampa Bay ($3600 at NYY): Despite a dropping price tag, Escobar (ankle) is best to avoid until his ankle heals and he can start and prove his health in a full game without setbacks.
Paul Konerko, 1B, Chicago White Sox ($4000 vs KC): Konerko was out of Wednesday's game after fouling a ball off his knee Tuesday. Konerko is a tempting play considering he is 12-for-46 (.261) with three doubles, three homers, five RBI and an .822 OPS lifetime against Kansas City Royals SP Jeremy Guthrie ($6900).
Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Milwaukee ($4100 at NYM): Ramirez (knee) was injured in the dust-up in Atlanta Wednesday, and he is likely to miss the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.
Moises Sierra, OF, Toronto ($3200 at BAL): Sierra (ankle) is expected to return to the lineup Thursday, but it is no guarantee as of yet. Even with a shorter slate of games, you can find better options.
