SO YOU WANT A BIG TICKET ITEM?
LeBron James, F, Miami ($22626 at LAL): The chances are slim-to-none that LeBron will give you a lump of coal in your stocking on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Lakers are awful defensively, and when the Philadelphia 76ers aren't on the schedule, it's a great idea to stack against the defensively-challenged Lakers. While Oklahoma City Thunder F Kevin Durant ($22347 at NY) and L.A. Clippers G Chris Paul ($20938) might be averaging slightly more Fantasy points per game, the difference is negligible. LeBron faces the better matchup and is worth the money. We'll help you afford him with some nice stocking stuffers below.
If you spend big up top, you're going to need some fillers to bring down your average per player salary. Check out these steals from the bargain bin:
Andray Blatche, C, Brooklyn ($12542 vs CHI): Blatche posted 11 points, seven rebounds and a pair of assists last time out against Indiana. He is capable of so much more, but he has either struggled with his shot, or faced a tough defensive club lately. Look for Blatche to figure it out in this one, posting 25-30 Fantasy points.
Tony Parker, G, San Antonio ($14034 vs HOU): The Houston Rockets are a poor defensive club, and Parker should be able to light it up against the in-state rivals. Parker has at least 33 Fantasy points in each of his two games since returning from injury, and last time he faced Houston Nov. 30, he dropped 27 points, eight dimes and six boards for a total of 37 Fantasy points. Expect more of the same.
Nick Young, G, L.A. Lakers ($10,895 vs MIA): Young, who leads the Lakers in scoring average, has been a little cold lately. He has connected on just 11 of his past 35 field goal attempts for a total of 32.5 Fantasy points in the past two games. However, he continues to jack up shots, attempting at least 11 field goals in each of his past 15 games. He is a big-time scorer who should shine on the big stage after a couple of subpar games.
Jordan Farmar, G, L.A. Lakers ($8815 vs MIA): Farmar (hamstring) is set to return to the starting lineup Wednesday, according to the team's official website. He'll get the nod at the point guard spot, supplanting G/F Xavier Henry ($11334). Farmar could be a little rusty, but a starter at these price levels is well worth the risk.
Danny Green, G, San Antonio ($6664 vs HOU): Green has pieced together three solid games, hitting a total of eight 3-pointers during the span, while averaging 10.7 ppg with 2.3 rpg and 1.7 apg. He has at least 15.25 Fantasy points in each game during the span, which isn't great. However, at this salary level, he is a nice play with some upside against a poor defensive team.
Beno Udrih, G, New York ($9417 vs OKC): With G Raymond Felton (groin) sidelined, Udrih is likely to be the biggest beneficiary. He'll be a nice stocking stuffer for daily Fantasy owners.
