Faker Debuts on Twitch, Sets Viewership Record
SKTelecom T1 is undoubtedly the best League of Legends team in history. They've won 3 World Championships including the most recent one in 2016. With their Azubu obligations out the window, several players on the team have recently begun to stream on Twitch.
As of this morning, that now includes Faker, who many consider to be the best player in the world. To no surprise, he was greeted by a huge audience. In his Twitch debut he set a record for the most concurrent viewers with 245,100. The Korean mid laner, dominated LoL viewership in a time-slot where Imaqtpie and Nightblue3 generally soak up watchers.
Sure he may be the best player in the world, but his stream was riddled with imperfections and technical difficulties. The true highlight from the SKT streaming bonanza was the 1v1 between Bang and Huni. The man who had a perfect season with Fnatic and wrecked havoc on NA top laners with Immortals has now taken down SKT ADC Bang in a Lucian 1v1. And he let him know about it.
For most people, after you get humiliated you can find a nice quiet place and mope. Unfortunately for Bang, he has to live and practice with Huni on the daily. Best of luck friend.
