A.J. Brown Injury Update Clouds Week 7 Fantasy Outlook
A.J. Brown got back on track over the past two weeks, tallying 140 receiving yards and three touchdowns after suffering a Week 1 knee injury. It appears as if he's not out of the woods yet, however, as he was unable to practice on Thursday due to a knee issue.
There's nothing concrete about his availability for Sunday, but Brown's fantasy managers may need to get a backup plan ready in case he's unable to go.
AJ Brown Fantasy Outlook
Even if Brown does play, he draws a really difficult matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is the league's second-best defense, per Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics, and the Steelers are surrendering just 18.8 points per game (PPG), which is tied for the third-best mark in football.
Still, he's probably too good to remove him from your starting lineup unless you have a ridiculously loaded bench. It'll be important to monitor his status in practice on Friday, as that will likely determine whether or not he'll be able to play.
Corey Davis Fantasy Outlook
Thankfully, there's a pretty clear backup available if he's out. Corey Davis is rostered in just 27% of Yahoo! leagues, and he's actually been great when he's seen the field this year. Davis was averaging 5.0 catches for 68.7 receiving yards per game over the first three weeks of the season, though we haven't seen him since.
Davis is also not a surefire bet to play, but he has been activated from the COVID list after a two-game absence. He appears much more likely to suit up than Brown.
Davis could be a great speculative add, and chances are he's available in your league. You're probably not going to want to start him if Brown is ultimately able to play, though.
