Aaron Gordon won’t play Friday against the Rockets
Aaron Gordon won’t suit up for the Magic when they take the floor against the Rockets on Friday night. The Magic decided to sit Gordon, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury for months on this first leg of their back-to-back. He’s fully expected to be out there when Orlando meets the Mavericks on Saturday.
The Magic are already severely shorthanded after Markelle Fultz tore his ACL on Wednesday and is out for this season, while Evan Fournier hasn’t played since New Year’s Eve because of back spasms. Michael Carter-Williams is also out with a mild bone bruise and sprained ligament in his foot. Fournier is the only player of the three with a shot at playing Friday but will be a game-time decision.
The depleted team will lean heavily on Terrence Ross, who can be found in about 30 percent of fantasy leagues and holds a rather cap friendly $5700 price stage in FanDuel DFS. Dwayne Bacon may break out as a streamer, while Gary Clark and James Ennis should see an uptick in playing time; neither are great options. Ross is also worth a look at FanDuel’s Sportsbook, where a player props bet or two could be worthy.
